Windgrove: A refuge for Learning, Tasmania, Australia

Windgrove: A Refuge for Learning is a rugged 100-acre coastal property in Tasmania, Australia, where artists, environmentalists, writers and performers are invited to contemplate, collaborate, and find inspiration in nature.  It regularly hosts workshops, educational tours, and artist residencies. For 30 years, its grounds, self-guided educational trails, and site-specific artworks have been open to the public.

As part of two residencies between 2015 and 2018, Dan Bailey produced signature documentations of Windgrove’s landscape and its site-specific sculptures, and activities for the center to use in exhibition, branding, and an upcoming book documenting the remarkable work achieved there.  The following gallery presents selected examples.
